Mayor Martin Chavez Launches AlbuquerqueGreen Plan in Visible Strategies’ see-it™ software
US Green Mayor uses ICLEI Summit as platform to unveil comprehensive sustainability plan using innovative strategy mapping and reporting tool
VANCOUVER, CANADA, June 5, 2008 — Visible Strategies Software Inc., a leading provider of strategy mapping and reporting software, is pleased to announce that the City of Albuquerque has launched its award-winning AlbuquerqueGreen sustainability plan in Visible Strategies’ see-it™ software. The plan was launched by Mayor Martin Chavez at the ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability Summit held in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Mayor Chavez was named the United States’ top green mayor by the US Conference of Mayors and has been recognized globally for his work on municipal water conservation.
Albuquerque was honored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce with the Sustainable Community Award in the Large Community category for AlbuquerqueGreen. Stated John Bucholz, Green Building Program Manager for the City of Albuquerque and the person responsible for the planning and implementation of see-it™ for AlbuquerqueGreen: “see-it™ helps us to quickly and effectively manage the initiatives internally and communicate this progress to our stakeholders.
